Virtual Sunday School
Pastor John teaches one lesson from the Answers in Genesis curriculum. Each lesson includes Song, video, and Pastor John teaching the lesson of the day. The materials for the class can be downloaded each week from the guides section of the Facebook page. There is lots of free material to use, but we focus on the class notes each week. The program is about 35 to 45 minutes. Let Pastor John help you teach your children the Word of the Lord.
Children’s Bedtime Bible Story
Every night at 7:30 pm Pastor John does reads a Bedtime Bible Story. He is currently using the Story Bible from Concordia Publishing House. Each night there is Song, the Bible story and prayer. You can join us live at 7:30 or watch later at your convenience. The songs we are using teach a bible verse. We use the Lord’s Prayer every night. The Story’s run through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Pause each night at 7:30 pm for God’s Word
KIDS
We see kids as the disciples in training and isn't that what we are.
1) We believe kids should experience worship with their parents.
2) We believe in Family learning. Hence, Family Night on Wednesdays at 6:00pm.
3) We believe in using the best educational tools available to help our kids grow in their relationship with Jesus and have an enjoyable experience doing it. So, Vacation Bible School each Summer (2020 was virtual).
4) We want our kids to have a firm foundation in the truth of God's Word. So, coming this fall Virtual Sunday School from Answers in Genesis.
WHAT WE TEACH
Your kids will experience an age appropriate lesson that will teach them about God and His love for them. The teaching is interactive and utilizes multiple approaches for different learning styles. The goal at Shepherd of the Lake is for kids to understand who Jesus is and what He has done and continues to do for them. They will also have a lot of fun!
